Solomon’s Sieve is the 7th installment to the Knights of Black Swan series.

Things for the Black Swan’s seem to be going pretty good. Unbeknownst to them, there is a problem, and this new problem is going to take all of the Knights along with some new Knights into a battle that they all thought was already being won.

The Knights find themselves with a new Sovereign, who strangely enough seems to know exactly how to do the job.  Then there is also Z Team, and getting to know the misfits is so rewarding – that I can’t help but wonder what will be next for the “bad boys” of the Knights.  We also get B Team, and I just can’t get enough of them, they are a tight knit group that just makes me wish I could befriend each and everyone of them.

I really don’t want to say too much and spoil the newest release for anyone, but this is a MUST read in the Black Swan series!!

Victoria has a way to bring so many emotions into her books. You will find yourself laughing, sitting on the edge of your seats, feeling a bit frustrated, and most of all falling in love.  This is a series that I recommend to anyone who is looking for a series that picks up right where the previous one ended.  It is highly recommended that you read the series in order, or else you run the risk of spoilers along with missing out on so much drama.

When I read the first book in the series “A Familiar Stranger” I immediately told anyone who would listen to me to get it, hey, it never hurts to pick up a free book……it just might make you so hooked that you are stalking the author waiting for the next release.  This series has just stuck with me from the very first book, and to get to continue to read about them, and live their lives with them, is the magic of Victoria’s writing.  Her characters are ones that you really wish you knew, and can’t help but fall in love with each and everyone of them.

Danann has always been one of the authors that I can’t help but stalk (online of course) and with the newest installment, she has cemented herself as one of my most favorite authors.

Solomon’s Sieve is due to be released on May 25, 2014

Synopsis 3
From the moment she first saw him running on the treadmill next to her, Spencer Marshall had fallen head over heels in love with Brandon Montgomery. After Spencer has a near-death experience she would rather forget, they do their best to move on with their lives, leaving their past behind them.

Thankful for a fresh start and eager to move on with her life, Spencer focuses on helping her best friend Ryan Kennedy plan her wedding. Everything seems to be going as planned when someone from Brandon’s past reappears. Can Spencer and Brandon survive the coming days as they struggle to deal with ghosts from the past?

Excerpt

Brandon drove me down to the police station for the formal interview that afternoon. The investigating officer told me that Christy was still pretty beaten up from the fall and subsequent surgery she had to endure from the stab wound. Apparently, she had punctured her liver and would be in the hospital for at least a few more days –– enough time for the police to get all their ducks in a row. I really didn’t want to rehash the incident, but I knew it had to be done. After an hour and a half of me recounting the events, Brandon and I made our way to Macy’s at Union Square to get my mind off everything.

Macy’s at Union Square covers an entire block.  Although I wanted to go crazy and buy the whole store, I had to remember that for the next few months my tiny closet was going to need to hold both my and Brandon’s clothes.“Okay, all I really need is another nice dress so I don’t keep wearing the same one over and over again,” I said to Brandon as we rode the escalator up to the Women’s department.“Whatever you want, Babe.” “Are you sure you want to do this? Most guys seem to hate shopping.”

“Oh I do, but I want to be with you, so I don’t mind.”

“Alright, well I don’t want to hear any whining,” I said as I stuck out my tongue at him.

“And what if I do?” Brandon asked, smirking at me.

“Then… then… shit, I don’t know. Don’t give me that look, it drives me crazy and I can’t think straight.”

“Drives you crazy good or drives you crazy bad?”

“Good,” I said as I blushed and tried to swat Brandon’s arm, but he caught my wrist midair and pulled me to him for a quick kiss.

As we browsed around Macy’s, I decided that I should be looking specifically for a dress for my company holiday party, as it was the next big event that I needed to attend.

I picked out a few dresses and told Brandon that I was going to try them on in the dressing room. The first dress I tried on was a metallic champagne A-line dress. Brandon said he liked it, but I wasn’t feeling it. Next, I tried on a sleeveless dress made with sequined Graphite Grey satin; Brandon liked it as well, but it just wasn’t calling my name.

Finally, I tried on the last dress. It was strapless and made of ivory lace in the pattern of roses with a few ruffles down the front starting at the waist. It was accented with a removable cream-colored belt. I think this is the one. I stepped out to show Brandon. As soon as his face lit up, I knew I had found the one.

“You like?” I asked as I did a little twirl so he could see the back.

“Yes, I like—a lot!” Brandon stood up and walked over to me.

“Yeah, I think this is it.”

“I need further convincing.”

“What?”

He grabbed my hand to lead me back into the dressing room and locked the door behind him.

“What are you doing?” I whispered.

Without answering, he spun me around and pushed me up against the fitting room mirror. My hands slammed into the mirror to brace myself as I felt Brandon’s hard erection against my ass. He moved my hair the side and kissed the side of my neck all the way down to the top of my shoulder, making the little hairs on the back of my neck stand at attention.

“Babe, we’re in a public dressing room,” I panted in a whisper.

“Shh,” he said as he continued to kiss my neck and shoulder. His hand reached around my side as he slowly slid the dress up my thigh inch by inch.

“Babe…” I said in warning.

“Shh.”

His hand glided up my bare thigh and my breath caught when I felt his hand slowly slide into my panties. “Oh God,” I quietly groaned.

Brandon bit lightly on my right earlobe as he started teasing my clit with one of his fingers. I steadied myself with one arm on the mirror, resting my head on his chest as I reached up and grazed my other hand through his soft hair on the back of his neck. His finger slid through my slick wetness before sinking into me as I lifted my leg onto the bench, wanting more. I couldn’t help it ––Brandon brought out the exhibitionist in me. His touch was all I needed to forget everything around me.

“I can’t keep my hands off of you when you wear a dress,” he whispered in my ear, causing my body to shiver as his breath touched my skin.

“Uh huh,” I mumbled. Not only could I barely talk because of the intense pleasure running through my body, but we were in a public dressing room in the middle of the day. I was both terrified and aroused by the thought that we could be caught at any second.

He continued creating circles around my aching clit with one finger as another of his fingers moved rhythmically inside my pussy over and over.  His hard cock was still pressed into my ass. Lifting my head from his chest and moving forward a step, I slid my hand from the back of his neck. Then I reached down behind me and rubbed his erection through his jeans.

“Don’t start something you can’t finish,” he said, whispering in my ear again.

Ha, talk about calling the kettle black! I continued to stroke him as he brought my body closer to its release. I planned to finish him––I needed to finish him. He reached around and slipped his hand into the top of the dress, his fingers easily sliding beneath the silky material of my bra. He began to caress my right breast and roll the already hardened nipple between his fingers, sending my body into overdrive. I came around his finger, my belly clenching as the climax shot through me.

We stood there like that for a moment while I caught my breath, then Brandon slowly removed his hand from my panties. We heard the door next to us close as someone entered the dressing stall. I couldn’t believe what we had just done together in a public dressing room.  It was exhilarating and slightly dangerous and I felt wonderfully alive, but we weren’t quite done.  I turned around and began to undo his belt.

He caught my hands in his for a moment and raised an eyebrow at me as he nodded his head in the direction of the stall next to us. I grinned wickedly and held a finger to my lips, then made quick work of his belt and unbuttoned his jeans. Sliding the zipper down enough to reach inside, I grabbed his length, causing it to twitch in response. Brandon sat on the bench, his erection growing bigger as I ran my hand up and down around it, milking him.

I saw a drop of his pre-cum glisten, reflecting the fluorescent lights above. I bent down on my knees and lowered my head as I licked the tip, tasting his salty goodness. We heard the lady leave the stall next to us and I almost giggled in relief.  He sucked in a sharp breath when my wet tongue swirled around the head. He grabbed the back of my ponytail and guided my head as I bobbed up and down, sucking him over and over. I took him deeper and deeper into my throat until his body tightened and then convulsed slightly as he spurted hot cum down the back of my throat. He grunted slightly with his teeth gritted as he came, his eyes closed as he fought against groaning in pleasure.

 “Well… guess I’m buying this dress,” I said, laughing as I stood up.

Excerpt

After a few minutes, I realized that I was still alone in the shower. Brandon hadn’t returned from seeing who was at the door and that made me nervous. I quickly rinsed the soap from my body and started to turn off the water when the shower door opened and Brandon slipped in. His hard chiseled body stepped close to me as we both stood under the warm stream of water––something we did almost every night.
“Hey, what took you so long?” I asked, slipping my arms around his neck.
“Blake’s here.”
“Really?”
“Yep.” Brandon’s hands glided down my back to rest on my ass as he gave it a little tug to bring me closer to him.
“Did you know he was coming?”
“Nope, he said he needed to get away and used the plane ticket we gave him for Christmas.”
“Couldn’t he have asked? I mean, this is an important night,” I pouted as Brandon’s cock grew against my belly. I chuckled slightly. Here we were again, talking about his brother at the wrong time.
“Babe, you know how Blake is. He doesn’t always use his head,” he said, tilting his head down to place a soft kiss on my neck.
“I know,” I said, sighing. “Can he maybe get a hotel room for the night?” Of all the nights Blake could have come to visit us, it had to be tonight…the night when I wanted to wear nothing but my new ring and a smile.
“I guess, but we haven’t seen him in, what? Five months?”
“I know––you’re right. I just wanted to walk around naked for the night,” I said, biting my lower lip and giving him my most innocent smile, making his cock twitch in response.
“I’ll make it up to you another night––I promise,” Brandon groaned, bending down again as he pressed his lips to mine.
“But that other night won’t be the night you proposed and I said ‘yes’.”
“I know, Baby…” Brandon looked down at me, searching my eyes as if he was looking for some sort of answer or something. “What if we get a hotel room in the city, you call in sick tomorrow and we order room service, eat breakfast in bed and then spend the rest of the day with Blake? He can take care of Niner tonight. It will give him time to clear his head, too, since that was the reason he jumped on a plane and flew thousands of miles unannounced.”
“Well, he did come all this way. Maybe we should spend time with him?”
“No, he will understand. I’m sure he will be here longer than one night. We will hang out with him tomorrow. Plus I want to see you wearing nothing but your new ring and a smile for the rest of the night,” he said, winking at me, reading my mind.

Excerpt
When we got to the threshold of our office door, Paul appeared.  I smiled at seeing him and I heard Trisha take a breath.  He looked absolutely gorgeous with his hair still wet from the shower and in his grey dress slacks with a black button down shirt, unbuttoned at the top.  My mouth watered just looking at him.
“Good morning, ladies,” he said smiling.  “Trisha is it?  How are you doing?”
Trisha stifled a giggle as she tried to compose herself.  “I’m fine, Mr. Pierce. How are you?”
Paul shot me a puzzled look, then glanced back to Trisha.  “I’m doing great, thanks. Everything okay?”
Trisha nodded.  “Yep, I was just getting back to work.  And thanks again, Ms. Chase.  I appreciate your talking with me.”  I gave her a smile and watched her head back to her cubicle.  I wasn’t convinced she was totally giving up on pursuing Paul, but I knew he’d never give her the time of day beyond the work relationship.
Paul looked at me as he walked toward his office.  “What was that about?” he asked.
I smiled as I perched on my desk.  “Wouldn’t you like to know?” I teased.
He unlocked his office door and turned to face me.  “Well, yeah. Now I would even more.”
I put my hand to my chin and tapped my cheek. “Well, I could tell you, but I probably shouldn’t.  It’s really nothing.”
He got a gleam in his eye at my teasing.  “Oh, Chase. You are so going to tell me now,” he said as he came toward me.
I stayed put on my desk and pretended not to feel the butterflies that had sprouted in my tummy.  “Oh am I?” I asked.
He reached my desk and stood right in front of me, invading my personal space.  “Yes, you are.”
Pushing myself onto my desk so I was sitting on it, I leaned back on my palms.  “Well, you see, Trisha just wanted to ask me something about you.”
His face turned into a scowl.  “What?” he asked.
“Oh, lighten up.  I told her you’re not available and even if you were, you don’t date people who work for you.”
He took a step toward me.  “Good.  I mean, don’t get me wrong, that girl is hot, but no way.”
I felt a little sting.  “Oh, she’s hot, huh?” I asked, trying to come off as teasing.
He grinned.  “Yeah, she is, but there are others here who are hotter.”
My head started spinning.  “Oh, well that’s good to know.”
He took another step toward me, now pinning me to my desk.  “Is it?  Don’t you want to know who I’m thinking of?”
I was dying to and cringing at the same time.  While I realized it was very stupid of me to think I had a chance with him, I still didn’t want to know who my competition was. Knowing he thought Trisha was hot was enough.
“Not really,” I lied.
He drew a finger down the side of my face.  “Now why don’t I believe you?” he asked in a hushed tone.
Vibrations went through me at his touch and I shivered.  “I don’t know. Not my problem,” I whispered.
He chuckled.  “Well, I’ll tell you anyway.  That girl in PR is hot. I think her name is Jenny.”
My heart fell.  I tried to turn my head away, but his hand caught me.  “That’s nice,” I said.
He chuckled again.  “It is, isn’t it? Yeah, she’s pretty hot.  I also think that chick in our graphic design department is hot.  What’s her name again?”
Lola.  The only “chick” that worked in the graphic design department.  “Lola,” I said with a bite.  Again I tried to distance myself from his proximity, but he wouldn’t budge.
“Then there’s the girl I work with. She’s really hot, sexy actually. Her long blonde hair drives me crazy. Like the way she twirls it around her fingers when she’s nervous. Though when it’s up in a twist, like today, she fidgets with her fingers. Her dusty, olive green eyes make me want to fall to my knees every time she looks at me.” He paused and stared at me for what seemed like a very long time, “You may know her. Her name is Aly,” he said barely above a whisper as he caressed my cheek with the back of his fingers.
 My heart slammed against my chest. Jerking my head up to fully look at him, I stared into his eyes. There was no humor or teasing in them. They were filled with sincerity and if I wasn’t mistaken, desire. I struggled to find words.
“Um, what?” I asked, staggered. I was in shock. He had never talked to me this way before, never this direct.  His lips curled into a ghost of a smile.
“Yep, and the outfit she’s wearing today is going to torture me all day long, showing off all of her curves in every possible way. So, yeah. That’s who I think is hot,” he said as he dropped his hand from my face and turned to walk into his office. I sat there staring blankly at the doorway, wondering what the hell just happened.

Excerpt
I didn’t see the blow coming. I was standing at my dresser, eyes focused on my reflection in the mirror as I pinned my hair into a bun when I felt a sharp pain in my lower back. Time seemed to slow down as the bobby pins dropped from my hands and I fell to my knees. I gasped for air, trying to catch the breath that had been knocked out of me.
“Don’t you ever think of doing that again, bitch,”
I heard Drake tell me in his menacing deep voice, his dirty brown work boots in front of me. I had no idea what it was I’d done. Most of the time I hadn’t done anything. I put my hands on the floor, still trying to take deep breaths.
“Wh-what did I do?”
I asked in a strained voice against the agony burrowing in my back. Suddenly, my head was yanked back, and my hair was being pulled so tight that I yelped at the searing sensation. Tears stung my eyes at the torturous pressure as I balled my hands into fists, trying to resist grabbing at his hand. I knew that would make my situation worse.
“I saw you. I saw you talking to that prick at the grocery store. You think I don’t know what you do every hour of the day? Huh?”
He pulled back harder on my head, and tears streamed down my face as I tried not to scream. I tried to remember whom I’d talked to at the grocery store. I had gone there to get a few items, but I didn’t remember having any conversations. Unless…
“You mean the guy who took my cart when I was done putting the groceries in the car?”
He finally released my hair and the relief was immense. I fell to the floor and rubbed my scalp as he towered over me. I ignored the desire to scoot away from him because I’d learned the hard way that it only angered him more. Instead, I sat down and hugged my legs to my chest as I rocked back and forth.
“Yes, Lucy, the guy who took the cart from you. Do you realize how bad it looks when you talk to other guys? Good lord, how stupid can you get?”
He started pacing back and forth, swiping his hands through his dark blond greasy hair. His footsteps were strong and loud, especially when he wore those big, ugly, work boots that were always caked with mud. I did my best to stop shaking and rocking—I needed to appear as calm as possible. You would think I’d be used to his rage by now, but each time he assaulted me, it made me shake to my core.
“I’m sorry,” I whispered, even though I knew I’d done nothing wrong. I’d been taught that it was always better to apologize than to try to explain the situation. I’d been with him for three years, and it was all I could do to stay sane. The numbness that had taken over my mind and soul was the only way I survived. He stopped pacing and turned to face me.
“You’re what?” I looked into his cold gray eyes.
“I’m sorry,” I said in a louder voice.
He walked toward me and bent to his knees, his ugly eyes softening somewhat as he took my face in his sandpaper rough hands. I wanted to cower and throw up, but I looked him in the eye because I knew if I looked down, it would anger him even more.
“Lucy Jane, you know I hate having to lash out at you, but you give me no choice. I can’t have you prancing around town talking to every asshole you see. It makes me look bad, baby

While left to their own devices, Easton, Lily and Dean spend their long summer days playing outside, swimming in the river and enjoying their small town’s public activities. When Taylor, aka Stretch, arrives in Kolby to spend the summer with her aunt, Easton is immediately drawn to her. He tries to draw her out of her shell as best as a young man his age is capable.
Years later, Taylor returns to Kolby just as Easton and Dean are graduating high school. The story bounces back between both summers and reveals how painfully raw misunderstandings from their youth can be.
~~~Cast of Characters~~~
Lily Grace is enjoying the summer before high school. She has a serious crush on her older brother’s best friend Dean. These feelings have grown exponentially over the years for Dean, but are always thwarted by her very protective brother Easton.
Dean Haven, Easton’s best friend has just graduated high school. He is spending the summer enjoying the company of his friends before heading off to college and hopefully leaving Kolby behind for good.
Easton Grace, Lily’s older brother and Dean’s best friend is the anchor of this group. He is strong, protective to a fault, caring deeply for his sister and his friend.
Grandma Violet is Dean’s grandmother. The only adult to show love and concern for this group, she provides them a place of solace when it is needed.
Taylor Monaco shows up in Kolby just in time for graduation. She is tall, gorgeous and a total mystery to Easton Grace. Flattered that he is attracted to her quickly fades to disappointment when she realizes he does not know who she is.
Interview
Sarah Dosher took time out of her busy schedule as wife, mother and author to answer some questions about her books for us.  Thank you Sarah for sharing your wonderful gifts with us!
PFMTBB – Kolby is a fictional place. How closely does it resemble where you grew up or live now?
Sarah Dosher – I grew up in a small town and now live in an even smaller town. A lot of the quirks of small town life that you glimpse in this series are true. But the level of devastation seen in Haven from the Storm is not something that I have personally experienced but there are numerous places in Oklahoma that have been through something similar.
PFMTBB – Was it difficult to write about this type of natural disaster as Oklahoma is part of Tornado Alley and these events happen somewhat regularly in your region of the country?
Sarah Dosher – It wasn’t hard to write about the actual storm because I think growing up in Oklahoma we grow accustomed to hearing about tornado devastation and living through it yearly. However writing about loved ones losing their life was definitely hard. A little under two months after I released this novel there was massive destruction with numerous lives lost in several tornadoes in Oklahoma. It was very sad and hard for me to watch after having just released a fictional book that seemed so close to reality.
PFMTBB – Have you or close personal friends suffered the kind of loss that the residents of Kolby did?
Sarah Dosher– I have known several that have had a huge loss of personal belongings to tornadoes but not the loss of life to the extent seen in Kolby.
PFMTBB – At different points in the story, school officials discuss Lily’s bruises and other signs of physical abuse. How did you feel when you wrote their sense of helplessness because she would not come clean about what was really happening?
Sarah Dosher – This has actually been a very hot topic for my novel. There are many that feel this was not true to life and would never occur. Some reviewers have even said that it ruined the whole story for them and I hate hearing that.
I can promise that it is very true to life. I did not make this portion of the story up. I have seen this occur over and over with my own eyes. I even spoke with several that work within Child Protective Services in Oklahoma and they confirmed that this scenario happens on a regular basis. Haven from the Storm has been passed around to many different employees in Child Protective Services because they feel it is so true to what they see –and I am very proud of that!
Prologue
 Crown Prince Anton of Colania, a remote island country roughly 1,000 miles southwest of New Zealand, strode confidently through his royal city. He was the country’s only ruler, the last surviving acknowledged prince of the monarchy that had been in power for hundreds of years.
As he entered The Dungeon, his eyes flickered over the patrons. Colania didn’t have a traditional class system based on wealth or power. With few exceptions, everyone was on nearly equal footing. It was part of the reason there was little effort or push to bring the country into the technological era. Here in The Dungeon, though, was a well-defined hierarchy.
Employees who’d been with the owner the longest took responsibility for those who played in The Dungeon.  Safety and pleasure were their domain, and they were easy to pick out due to their well-fitted, fine clothing. Each piece was designed to be practical yet seductive, and only Dungeon employees had such quality.
The owner was the wealthiest man, next to Prince Anton, on the island.  The owner was sought after by men and women alike for his training skills and sexual prowess.  He was also the only man on the island who could afford to have brand-new vehicles shipped in for himself as well as have updated electricity and amenities throughout his business and home.
Prince Anton had only been in the man’s apartment on the third floor of The Dungeon once, but he had been impressed with its luxury.  Prince Anton was positive that parts of the castle had yet to be brought up to the standards that were imposed on this property.  Many corridors and hallways in the castle had no electric lighting or heat whereas The Dungeon had lighting that could be dimmed for mood and atmosphere.  Similarly, certain rooms that weren’t frequently used were still heated with wood fireplaces instead of a thermostat.  The only thing that had been refurbished throughout the castle was the plumbing, and that was for sanitary purposes.  Prince Anton could not tolerate things to be unclean.
Prince Anton didn’t hesitate or linger as he made his way through the club. He went straight to the black door on the back wall. He’d been here many times, and there was little to interest him. Everyone here was too used for his particular tastes.
He entered the black door and moved swiftly up the hidden staircase. This area of the club was off-limits to most. It was only available to patrons who paid exorbitant fees for private sex. Typically, only those who were ashamed of their vices used the rooms.
Prince Anton was neither ashamed nor paying for privacy today though. He had an appointment with the owner of The Dungeon, Damian Bellaro.
 ***
 Damian was going over the alcohol shipment that had arrived this morning. One of the reasons his sex clubs were so popular was because of the liquor he had shipped in from the mainland. It was expensive, but the quality was much greater than anything produced on Colania. Currently though, it was giving him a headache.  He was missing a case of the high-end scotch he kept on hand.
Prince Anton strutted into his office without warning.
“Don’t you knock?” Damian said scathingly.
“Didn’t know I needed to,” Prince Anton replied.
“With all due respect, sire,” Damian said sarcastically, “this is my office in my club. Next time, knock.” Damian rose to his feet, his body fluid like a great jungle cat, before he went to embrace his prince. “Now, what the hell is so important you had to schedule an appointment?”
“I have a job for you,” Prince Anton told him. He returned the one-arm embrace stiffly and then moved away with haste. He was uncomfortable with physical contact that he didn’t initiate or control. When the two men sat, he elaborated. “My thirtieth birthday is approaching.”
“In a year and a half.” Damian snorted. “Do you think it wise to skip twenty-nine?”
“As the last of the monarchy, it is my job to reproduce,” Prince Anton continued. “As much as I would like to see the genes that have shaped me die out, the country would fall into a tailspin. Although we are remote and somewhat undeveloped, we are a rich nation. The power I hold is all that keeps us out of the eye of the world and off the radar for those who would oppress us.”
“What does this have to do with me?” Damian asked warily.
“I have no desire to repeat history,” Prince Anton said. “We both know that my sexual nature is more like that of the queen than my father.”
“Do you want me to train you?” Damian asked, confused. “To help you learn to control your appetite?”
“No,” Prince Anton said firmly. “I don’t think either of us could handle taking our relationship to that level.”
The two men had grown up together, which accounted for Damian’s lack of respect and boundaries, but Prince Anton wanted to maintain formality between them.
“You could be right,” Damian said with a light chuckle. “So, what do you want from me?”
“I want you to find her, the woman who will bear the future of the country,” Prince Anton said. “Find her and train her to be what I need.”
“You can’t just order up a woman on demand,” Damian told him with a raised eyebrow.
“You must find a woman with good genetics although Gilly can look into that after the candidate meets the other criteria,” the prince said, ignoring Damian. “Beautiful, obviously. I’m not particular with features, but it stands to reason if my life mate is attractive, then I will have a better chance with reproduction. I’d also prefer that she not have a single drop of royal blood regardless of past royal practices. I do not wish to produce monsters or further any imperfections through inbreeding, however distant the connection might be. She needs to be completely submissive. I will be in control of any encounters at all times. Whoever she is, she must be willing to leave her past life behind. I refuse to be burdened with in-laws who might not agree with my domination of their daughter.”
“That’s quite a shopping list,” Damian said, eyeing the prince harshly. “Anything else you’d like to add before I order a woman for you?”
“There is one more requirement,” Prince Anton said seriously. “And this is perhaps the most important of all. She must be a virgin.”
“You do realize when I train a woman to cede her control to her master that I have sex with her?” Damian asked incredulously. “Submissives have to learn to respond on command; an untried woman will not have that opportunity.”
“I will not have a woman who has felt a man between her thighs before me. I will not have my children born to a woman who will behave as my mother did. She must be pure!” Prince Anton roared.
“If I refuse to do this…” Damian didn’t finish the question.
“You will not refuse,” Prince Anton said, rising to his feet. “I expect you at the castle within the week. The search begins immediately.”
1 Interview
Adriane shared some insights on how she took up writing and in the writing of the Mourning series in our interview here.
PFMTBB– How did you decide to pursue a degree in literature? Was it with the idea of becoming an author or were you preparing for a different career?
Adriane Leigh – Writing was the only thing I was ever interested in doing, and I love to read, so it made sense to me to study the classics to learn to write well.
PFMTBB– As a Michigan girl, did you use any of your experiences living near the dunes as inspiration in writing the beautiful beach scenes in these books?
Adriane Leigh – Absolutely! I feel so lucky to have grown up on the Great Lakes. We’ve got the best beaches in the world! No salt and no deadly sea creatures!
PFMTBB– Was your original intent to make Georgia and Tristan’s a two book series or did the story just carry into it?
Adriane Leigh – About halfway through writing The Mourning After I realized that Georgia and Tristan needed a book two. While the first book ended in a good place, I felt like readers would need reassurance that Georgia and Tristan could make it after the turbulence surrounding the beginning of their relationship.
I also wanted to show vulnerability in Tristan- he seemed so confident in book one, but I knew he had insecurities and being in a healthy relationship would be something he would have to work at.
PFMTBB– What can you tell us about your next book Wild, scheduled to be released in December?
Adriane Leigh – Wild has been wild to write to say the least! It takes place on the coast of Maine, which is a place I love and have visited often, and the main character’s name is Lane Wild. He’s a sexy, demanding alpha-male who knows what he wants in life and takes it. The heroine is Kat Kennedy, she’s new to town and is sassy and independent and not interested in being tied down. Chemistry pulses between them, along with irritation, flirtation and friendship; it’s all there and is making for one amusing story!
