The Lover’s Game
This book continues the story of Jett and Brooke and their very dysfunctional relationship. After everything that they have been through together I think they deserve a break. But when secrets and lies are involved there is bound to be drama and dysfunction.
Brooke can be downright infuriating at times. She has a tendency to live in her own mind and loses site of what is happening right in front of her. But with her recent past, it does come to be a little expected. I just wish that she would talk things out before taking the leap into worst case scenario.
I so want Jett to be the good guy, I am rooting for him. But he is not setting himself up with a very good case. The inconsistencies and lies are adding up to more secrets, it makes it really hard to even begin to understand who the real Jett is. Hopefully for the sake of the baby they can get their acts together.
This story has more drama and surprises than I could have imagined. There is mystery, intrigue, love lost, new friends, reconnecting with old friends, death and investigations it all leaves you wondering what is going to happen next. I am still hoping for the happy ever after, but am not holding my breath. I believe Brooke and Jett’s story is far from over. JC Reed you have done it again you captivated me with the storyline and characters, I can’t wait to see what you have for us next….
