graphic sex, disturbing violence, and very dark themes.

hometown six months ago to tend to her sick mother. She thought she’d left her
“baggage” behind her on the opposite coast, only to find that it
never left her side. As her self-destructive thoughts begin to consume her, her
mother — realizing Nikki’s torment — pushes Nikki to complete her last
dark, chaotic world that is easily hidden behind his model good looks and cocky
demeanor. Unapologetic about his dirtier intentions, he sets his sights on
Nikki with an offer to help her. But his help comes with very unorthodox
conditions and a huge price.
The Sordid Promise is not for everyone, it takes you to some very dark places that not everyone can handle. To put it very bluntly, the book is a total mind fuck. I couldn’t even begin to guess what might happen next. It has very broken individuals with some pretty messed up relationships, but in way it works for them.
Nikki had a past that she tried to run away from, but when called home to her dying mother, she found that her past was never too far behind. She hated social interactions and did everything possible to avoid speaking to anyone.
Eric was Nikki’s new neighbor. He had has his own set of problems, that at times were really hard to decipher what was true and what was being made up from jealous people. Eric had the good looks, a cocky attitude, and knew he could get and have whatever he wanted. For reasons unbeknownst to Nikki he wanted her and he planned to do anything to get it.
In a very dark and crazy way this book is a love story of people that have broken pasts and alternative ways to deal with life. This story was very difficult to read at times, but I also couldn’t put it down. It is a great example of a car wreck, where you know you should turn away but you just can’t. I had to know what was to come of Nikki and Eric and all of Eric strange and crazy friends. This story had death, murder, intrigue, mystery, and a crazy messed up love. If you enjoy reading a dark romance, you won’t want to miss this book. It truly is a great read that grabs you in the first chapters and doesn’t let you go…
was eight years old, I began to bring those worlds to life with pen and paper.
stick to one genre), I do have an archetype when it comes to the female
have to have certain type of strength, strong convictions, and layered
personalities. There will often be a lot of darkness and depth to my stories,
but I don’t
see the point in writing vapid characters who are thrust into “safe”
love. If there is one thing for sure, I’m a bit of a misfit when it comes to
Romance. I prefer my romances dark. The elements that will be common in my
stories are: depth, controversy, and misfit characters.
